This will help federal officers enforce the law. Cops can stop and ask for ID & immigration status see Muehler – vs – Men~a 2005 Supreme Court Ruling. 4. Enforce the federal E-Verify System. 5. Enforce current law against hiring illegal immigrants. Increase the fines to $5K for each illegal worker in a business, doubled on second offense, jail employers on third. 6. "Years before the statue was built," Barack Obama began the peroration of his July 1 speech on immigration, Emma Lazarus "imagined what it could mean."
