Schumer has only openly stated what anyone with two brain cells knew already: the democrats are not to be trusted on their promises to secure the border. They will pledge to do it, sometime, if we allow amnesty now. And if they can sucker republicans into signing off on it, it will be 1986 all over again. The amnesty materializes, but strangely the border enforcement NEVER does. Any conservative who votes for this should be voted out of office for being the world's biggest chump.

The bipartisan immigration reform plan introduced by eight senators earlier this week included two major things: The first being border security and enforcement of the law. The second, giving 11 million illegal immigrants a new path to citizenship. In order to prevent another 1986, when Ronald Reagan traded amnesty for a false promise of border security, and in order to move forward in a bipartisan fashion, the enforcement part of the plan must take place.
