If the council of Nicea had left out of the bible as we know it all reference to homo-this or homo-that, would you feel differently? Are you Christian or Hebrew? which one is it, Leviticus that has the 'proscriptions'? I don't remember. Suppose King James had left out the Pentateuch, (not a scholar, don't remember the spelling). Would you feel differently? What's it like to think that if you couldn't read, you'd have to trust that someone ELSE was passing on God's Word to you accurately? What's it like getting your morality from a book that scholars ADMIT is full of translational errors? How can you look at yourself in the mirror, and take yourself seriously?

homosexuality is an unhealthy,destructive behavior(medically PROVEN),a mental illness(readily apparent),and NOT good for society,any society(recognized over millennia).
it is not to be accommodated, enabled,or encouraged.

(a instead of the, for instance, gets counted numerous times as an 'error' in English translations with the method you've mentioned.) It's not just Leviticus that prohibits the practice, Genesis and Romans (New Testament) expressly address it as deserving God's judgment and being a result of sin, respectively. Jesus himself prohibits even Lusting for someone who is not your spouse as being Adultery, and breaking the ten commandments.

The president declared it. A pastor prayed it. And woe betide those who differ with this new reality announced at yesterday’s presidential inauguration: Gay is now an official social category as defined and tangible as black or white. Put another way, romantic attraction and sexual desire are now viewed as being as innate and immutable as skin color.

Make no mistake about it. Another significant step was taken yesterday at the inauguration, and what was once associated with the extremist views of radical gay activists is now as American as apple pie. As expressed in the closing prayer of Episcopal...
