The bigotry of low expectations in D.C.

In many communities (especially so-called ghettos) there is a disgusting culture propagating itself that says it's cool to be dumb and gangsta, and smart kids are not cool. In these cesspool communities and schools that service them, it's dangerous to be smart, and even if one wants to get an education, they would have to watch their backs to make sure they don't get hit over the head with a 2x4 on their way home from school.
These are the kids who are being betrayed by killing this and any other voucher program. Letting the future of our nation fend for themselves to stay alive (forget about getting an education) is criminal and immoral. But what do "progressives" care? They hate principles and people with morals.
