FYI: Washington was quoting Vegetius, the Roman General: "Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum."

It wasn't a domestically armed citizenry that kept the Nazis out of Switzerland--it was the Alps. Hitler's generals told him that it would take 750,000 troops to take the country. It was one of the rare times he actually listened to them and took their advice.

Yes! And he wouldn't even have to affect an accent. He's already got the real thing.

Obama: the Buck Doesn't Stop Here

Well said Mr. LesFalin. The dregs of the electorate only get larger by the day. If they allow 11 million more third worlders to stay and vote, it's over. Obama was not elected because of any great skills, other than perhaps oratory. He was elected because of the color of his skin; there can be no content to character, if you have no character.

While I wouldn't shop there for the reasons Ms. Herzog outlines in her article, I couldn't shop there if I wanted to. No adult male over say, 5'10" would find a single article of clothing in the entire store that would fit.
Blah, blah, blah, shovel, shovel, shovel....does anybody believe anything that comes out of this guy's mouth anymore?
Take a camera and microphone on nearly any street in America and you'd get the same reaction, maybe worse. New York City may be the cultural and business capital of the US, but the average shmo on the street is usually no more different than in any other city. "Only a small number of people hold opinions that may be regarded as genuine convictions. The vast majority of people have no real opinions, but only impressions . . . for they are shaped by events, propaganda, and various forms of conditioning."

Barry will skate through it as always. He'll hem, haw, give nice speeches, wait for the press to cover for him, and count on time and the indifference of the American people to do the rest. He's black and a lame duck; he can get away with anything.
We have a government that is currently encouraging the use of food stamps by illegal aliens, provides them with a cornucopia of goodies, yet at the same time is working on another new bill to "fix" this very system. I'll retire to Bedlam.
There is no empirical evidence that proves Co2 causes global warming, and if there is, it would've been trumpeted to high heaven by now. Even if it were true, does anyone seriously believe that the two biggest polluters on earth-- China and India-- are going to stop burning coal anytime in the near future?
