I quit giving to the "International" Red Cross when they solicited millions for the fires in California a few years back and refurbished their offices instead of helping people. Then there was that debacle over all the millions they raised for the victims of 9/11 that magically didn't get to the victims. Now they're out there on Staten Island offering hot chocolate and cookies instead of blankets and such. I guess hot chocolate and cookies are cheaper, huh? The guy running the red cross makes over half a million a year. I don't see where they do much good here in America except take our money.

On Friday night, swing-voters across the nation saw a one-minute advertisement paid for by the Red Cross featuring President Barack Obama.

The ad comes on the weekend before the election, and while the Red Cross does unquestionable good for millions of Americans, the choice to run this ad comes noticeably close to a campaign endorsement for President Obama.

Here’s the transcript from the ad:

When a natural disaster strikes, it can leave tens of thousands of families in need of help, and it can also bring out the best in the American people....
