Yes, Moonbeam Brown is a dreadful Governor, no question about it - but NutMeg Whitman shares responsibility for his election. We (Conservatives) took NutMeg to the dance and then she spit in our faces and courted the Illegal Alien / La Raza vote. Their thank you to her for her smarmy 'diversity' outreach campaign was to drop the Nicky Diaz bomb on her. I can't feel too sorry for her. I feel sorry for California and the train wreck we have because she screwed the proverbial pooch.

Still Standing, I completely agree with your assessment. One small detail from a purely fact-checking standpoint - the Hahn family is not Jewish, they are from a minor protestant denominational background - Church of Christ. Unfortunately, their Democratic politics was and is more prominent in their record as public servants. James Hahn ran a horrible campaign, which was part of the reason that the current joke of a Mayor got into office. VillaRaigosa is such a fruit that he can't even shed himself of his ex-wife's name! Los Angeles has not had a decent Mayor since Mayor Richard Riordan left office and the L.A. City Council is one of the biggest Ships of Fools on the planet, a close 2nd to the San FranFreeko Board of StupidVisors

for those of you who think it's time to just roll over and give it up for Romney because of the fear of the prospect of another term of office for Obama - I suggest you take a look at this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ensEjnGMRTA&feature=player_embedded You'll probably think twice the next time someone tries to sell you on the idea that Romney is a genuine Conservative. He's a good pitchman, but you don't know what you're going to get until the 'cat's out of the bag'.

So in other words, you have complete, unbridled trust in a man who considered Ted Kennedy a mentor, an inspiration and a personal friend? So you admire Romney's fierce defense of unrestricted Abortion? You're not the tiniest bit uncomfortable that Romney bitterly and unequivocally rejected any association philosophically or otherwise to Ronald Reagan? Who has no shame at violating the Constitutional to force citizens to purchase a service? Who made certain that Illegal Aliens were provided government funded health care? Be careful my friend, who you point the label of liberal at.

in essence, what you're saying is that an authentic Conservative is un-electable, therefore a RINO like Romney is just the ticket. I get it.

Hey Black Plumb, just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten about you and just to prove it, I come laden with gifts. Here's one that illustrates the 'staunch conservative' that the Mittster is and always has been: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ensEjnGMRTA&feature=player_embedded Have fun with it and maybe you can explain it to us afterwards.

come on BP - get a grip! If you can't distinguish a little old-fashioned facetiousness in my attempt to slap you upside the head and get you to think for yourself a little, then what can I tell you but to grow up. Of course I know that you, the author of this article and the Mittster aren't gay. I am simply - with a little locker room vulgarity, trying to illustrate the foolishness of following someone in such a devoted and credulous fashion as you do and the sorrow that you are going to experience when you find out he's been playing you like a Stradivarius.

What is it that you people can't get it through your thick heads that Romney is NOT a genuine conservative - he's just a cynical, power hungry, ego-driven individual that will tell you anything you want to hear until the first day on the job when his real paymasters hand him the actual governing agenda. You can go ahead and close your eyes to the truth and whistle through the graveyard if you wish, but I'm not joining you. If it's Obama vs. Romney - I vote American Independent or Libertarian as a protest vote and then beef up my home arsenal, because there will be rough weather ahead. Mark it down.
