The TV producers insist that without sex and the "realisim" of profanity no one would watch their shows. Somehow I doubt that. This all reminds me of the 1st rule of takeover of the US as established by the American Communist Party when it was first formed. "Destroy the ruggedness of the American people by concentrating their attention on spectator sports and sex."

I wonder sometimes, do people really talk this profanely? I am around people all the time and I never hear one cuss word. I guess it takes some intelligence to speak without using profanity. Anyone can cuss. Most people cannot speak well or carry on an intelligent conversation according to liberals. Writers are just lazy. It's easy to write in cuss words instead of something intelligent.

If you stopped watching network television awhile ago because it had gotten so bad, you made the correct decision. It has continued to get worse. A few years ago, network television became dominated by cheaply made reality TV shows and talent contests, sitcoms with hyperactive manic characters, and socially liberal themes. Television has always pushed the edge when it comes to socially progressive themes. But at what point does it go too far? Perhaps when there are no other options left during prime time network TV.
