I'm not sure what kind of "amazing job" your hero is doing. We are further in debt in a shorter time than ever before. He wants to put us even further in debt. We have more pork than ever before. He depends upon criminal groups like ACORN. He has turned against national friends and pandered to national enemies. He has bypassed some of the checks and balances in government by appointing czars that report only to him to override chosen Department heads.

And as far as the "mess he inherited" - all I can tell is that he is either ignoring it or digging the hole even deeper.

An upcoming municipal election may reveal some clues about the drift of American politics, and about the nature of politics itself.
