Actually, teachers get more than most professionals. They work for approximately 9 months and their pay is based on 9 months. They are allowed to spread that pay over 12 months if they wish but they don't get paid for the time they are off during the summer. The rest of us work for 12 months. You can't compare a 9 month work/pay period to a 12 month. If you average, they are getting a lot more than we do. They also get a LOT more time off during their work period than any of us do. Many of us are lucky to get 6 holidays and 2 weeks of vacation. Check to see what they get!

The progressive movement has always portrayed itself as one of "choice." They’re pro-choice when it comes to abortion and believe women should have the choice of a wide array of birth control that someone else pays for. Unfortunately, they stop short when it comes to "school choice."
