Short and sweet - you never tell an adversary (or potential adversary) what you won't do! The uncertainty is what keeps them in check.

Obama: Outright Evil, or Simply Wrong?

Let's assume that Medved is incorrect and that Obama is evil. Does that change Medved's assessment that it is a much more effective strategy (i.e., more likely to succeed) to oppose Obama on the merits (or lack thereof) of his approach than to try to rally the conservative forces to defeat Obama's evil? I think not. Whether you or I truly think that Obama is evil, our best chance of defeating Obama and his policies and ilk will comes from attacking those policies as wrong rather then evil. True or not, painting Obama as the antichrist will lose more votes than it gains. And that is not worth the emotional catharsis that you may get from the alternate approach.

An Odd Silence on Gay Marriage

I will offer three predictions.
1) After an initial flurry of gay marriages in each of these states, the rate will drop to nil.
2) Within the next 2 years more than one of these states will be petitioned to allow some form of polygamy.
3) Since the actual number of gay marriages will be very small, the other factors mentioned in your article will not show a significant change.

How's that for you?
I went to your website to sign the DOI, but the fields required to do so were not available? I was not able to sign. This needs to be fixed.

Thanks
