It's well past time to ban all public unions, dismantle the NEA, tear up the contracts, establish a "Fair Compensation Law" that binds public employees to salaries commensarate to their private counterparts.
I live in Illinois, and we recently had 15,000 public teachers go to Springfield (some with kids in tow) to lobby for higher taxes. First time I can recall, where we had people protesting for HIGHER taxes.
