to share, especially on a public forum like this. But there are many people who are against Mark Kirk winning the general, mainly because the ever expanding big tent the Republican Party has been contemplating will be permanently installed.

There are MANY conservatives in Illinois who dislike Mark Kirk and want another choice. Many say, "But then we'll give it to the Democrats." I say, maybe, but so what! This will be a banner year for Republicans, Congress will look plenty different in 2011. One seat in the Senate is not worth all we would lose.

With that in mind, there will be a conservative challenge to Mark Kirk in the general election. Whether it's a none of the above kind of candidate, or someone who can win it...

What happened in the Illinois Senate race doesn’t exactly mirror Massachusetts. But in one important way the races were the same: Both candidates ran to the right. Scott Brown, a moderate on social issues, spoke passionately for national security and against the Obama Healthcare legislation. He spoke of favoring parental notification for minors and prohibiting partial birth abortion. In the first state to allow it, he firmly stated his opposition to gay marriage and his support for second amendment rights.

By contrast, Mark Kirk refused to debate his opponents, and never had to answer for his vote against the ban...
