As a 62 year old who cannot afford to retire before reaching 78 under New Mexico's retirement plan, if Social Security is to be privatized, I want all of my Social Security Tax payments returned. After all, I have been paying into the system since age 14.

While I prefer the Fair Tax from both a moral standpoint (it ought not be Government that gets the first fruits of you labor) and a fairer, more transparent method of collecting revenue for legitimate government services, the Flat Tax stands a better chance of being implemented and that would at least be a step in the right (appropriate) direction.
