I already understood that Catholics DO bend over backwards -so to speak- to allow for what their church has accommodated (and yes, FACILITATED!) for so many decades, but I still don't get WHY you guys excuse the INSTITUTIONALIZED part of the equation. Don't you find that the least bit horrifying?

Perhaps a mass movement from this silly emphasis on denomination that runs EXPLICITLY to the exclusion of Christs teachings is in order. You will be persecuted, yes, but at least you will not be a part of that which persecutes. After all, we ARE called to suffer for His names...

It’s understandable that student newspapers at public universities are left-leaning. The advisors of the papers are usually left-leaning and they often have a left-leaning administration leaning on them. So their coverage of issues like abortion and homosexuality is often skewed. But private religious universities once provided a safe haven for those who wished to express views not approved by the immoral minority. It’s tough to comprehend the extent to which they have fallen prey to political correctness in recent years.
