Get real, Robert. We don't want the government involved in our lives as much as it is right now. Government isn't the answer to poverty. America was & is built on a capitalistic economy. We work for a living. If someone is poor: don't have a baby. It's called being responsible.

Obesity, "Progeny Laws" sounds Orwellian in theory and Chinese in its application. This is exactly what the Chinese seek to achieve with their one child per household and abortion of those exceeding the quota. This would not be the practice of a nation still championing a Judeo-Christian ethic. However, if our nation continues much longer in the path of liberal (Socialist) indoctrination we may see this arise, but it will not be by the vote or desire of true Christians. There's no support for this type of social engineering in the pages of Scripture.

JimP, It reads, "I am the way, the truth and the LIFE..." (John 14:6). Indeed the Scriptures reveal truth, point out the way, and provide the need to place our faith in Jesus Christ to secure eternal life, but the cultural mandate is to discuss and inform others to these truths and reason together. That's why these discussions are so pertinent and important.

Student loan debt is dangerously high, it's true, but the fact that these loans are going unpaid doesn't say as much about the debt or college as it does about the debtor.
