In response to:

If Obama Wins, Will He Be Another Woodrow Wilson?

How about this? Deep down inside, I don't think Obama wants another four years. That is conceivable. Except for our first few presidents -- plus Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, Reagan and Clinton -- most of our presidents have been pawns. They got into trouble doing the will of others. Obama is his own pawn, and egged on by Howard Ziff's anti-Americanism. Yes, when I think about what Obama has created, and what he'd be facing for another four years, huh. I think he'd like to get out of there -- deep down inside. If I were him, that's what I'd be thinking, deep down inside.

Yes I agree with this take as well. I think he would like nothing better but to sit on his butt for the rest of his life, draw a huge pension, play golf, meet with the boys of the "down low" club, do some blow and get some blow and pretend he was the greatest President ever. Maybe, just maybe, he's going through the motions for reelection, but doing everything he can think of to sabotage himself in front of his handlers. Axelrod can see the handwriting on the wall and he's almost apoplectic.

He's never produced a thing in his life. Everything has been done for him. Those books he allegedly wrote were done by someone else. His lie about being born here, there, and everywhere. No papers ever published as a law student.

Well none that we know of anyway. 143 days as a Senator and voting present and he feels qualified to run form President. He's awarded the Nobel Peace Prize twelve days after taking office. He's played more golf, taken more vacations (from what I don't know because most of time he shoves his work off to his subordinates). Records all sealed up nice and tidy. He's a fraud and I think folks are beginning to look behind the curtain and see that he's really naked.

Of course he's a fraud Bev,..oprah sold this sorry sob like one of her books to a bunch of stupid women who are more interested in American idol and gushing over what that fatso was pushing than what he represented..How stupid are these people? They hired a liar who submitted a false resume,'then locked away the proof as you so well stated and began to dismantle everything good about this nation bu installing radicals and commiunists into the gov't who are accountable to no-one except him..this is a dictatorship and not one of those capons on the hill will call him out for fear of the riots.

You may be right..I've also said that in the context of he made history, his agenda will destroy this nation which is his goal IMO, but unless that goal is acheived he will be looked on by history as the most inept clown ever elected..his ego can't handle that..If he loses, he goes out on top in his mind because the dumb honkies just couldn't understand his brilliance. Mitt will square this away, like McCain, energy will be priority one...millions of jobs will be created instead of lost chasing pixie dust ideas and then we can begin to dismantle this welfare state..A trillion bucks last year on foodstamps is a bit over the top and when people are receiving 48K a year for laying about and reproducing, we got trouble.

Sea -- a very good follow-up take. Yes, our way of life should get a second wind, if Romeny wins. Still, I fear we are about done. As we see, all predictions for democratic forms of government become true. Look at what Europe has done to democracy, in three generations. Democracy: out of bondage, from great spiritual faith, to great courage, to liberty, to abundance, to complacencey, to apathy, to dependance, back to bondage -- I fear.

I fear that as well buddy...What really ticks me off is had this clown not been able to lie his way into office with the help of the media, none of this would have happened. JSM/Palin's energy plan would have had millions working by now, a blind man could see it and this clown has done exactly opposite right down to actually destroying industries like coal..The RR's are seeing their stock prices drop due to lack of coal shipments. thousands are out of work BECAUSE of this fool and yet he enjoys support. From who? Does anyone really think he's gotten it right on anything? They should be calling for his head, not supporting him.

Let's hope--and vote. he is essentially lazy, so perhaps this shakeup to his ego will speed the parting lad.
How will this election be seen in history? Obviously, it depends on who wins.

If Barack Obama is defeated, the irresistible comparison will be with Jimmy Carter. A one-term president was rejected after pursuing big government programs amid high energy prices and attacks on America in the Middle East.

Actually, that's not entirely fair to Carter. His budget deficits were minuscule next to Obama's, and in response to the Soviet attack on Afghanistan he began the defense buildup that Ronald Reagan accelerated.

Carter supported airline deregulation, which made air travel widely accessible, as well as rail and trucking deregulation, which squeezed...
