Liberals Are Often Wrong, But Rarely Evil

As an evangelical Christian, the problem I would have with a liberal son-in-law, is that he, either knowingly or unknowingly, supports anti-Christian policies. So either he does not believe in the Word of God or he is ignorant, both of which are unattractive to our conservative, Christian family. So not sure how the author arrives at the conclusion that thinking different politically is really no big deal.
Thank you so much, Mr. Hawkins, for compiling these quotes!
Seal the border first. I have told my representatives in DC, all Republicans (TX), that if the Republicans do immigration reform without building a border fence I am done voting for anybody. No one is clamoring for immigration reform. It is needed, but none of them are serious about doing it right.

Politicians will be politicians, although this guy is the worst of the worst. The reason he gets by with one scandal after another, is because of the corrupt media. If the media had done their job, this man would never have been president.

Yea, sure. What the heck if Christians are forced to cooperate in an event that they think is immoral and against their deeply held religious beliefs. Exactly how is government out of the picture if it is government who is forcing the Christian to serve in a situation that is against his religion? Very sad for those of us who are born again, God revering Christians.

What is wrong with you? Have you not been paying attention for the last 5 years? Yes, some Republican politicians like large government but there are many who are actively fighting against it. There is NO Democrat politician who is fighting for smaller government. And it is this administration who has upped the saying on all of us and then took it to another level by recording journalist. You need to wake up for the sake of this country and see the truth. If people like you would actually wake up and see the truth, we can stop what is happening in our country and take our freedoms back!

The Republican platform is against abortion because they believe it is taking a human life. They believe in protecting human life! When Pres. Bush was in office, there were no policy changes of consequence on the abortion issue. Most Republicans would like to see Roe vs. Wade repealed and the issue go back to the states and then every state would make own laws regarding the issue. That's really how it should be for most issues. But the federal government has continued to grow and become more and more powerful, wasteful and corrupt, never more so than under this current president.
He certainly didn't sound like a slimeball in the article. He could have gone off on this administration, but he didn't. You sound angry.
Even with the right system, someone has to be paid to enter all the patient files and it sounds like he has a lot. That doctor may go on to have an enjoyable retirement, a lot less headaches. It is his patients that will suffer, having to move on to other doctors. That can be very hard on people, especially older people, who have established a multi year relationship with their doctor. Listen to the news. Many doctors have said they are contemplating retiring instead of having to deal with all the regulations from Obamacare. This is just the beginning....
