Obama's Problems -- and Ours

Pat,
much respect, but our leaders of old have placed us rather intentionally in the situation we are in right now. I don't mean they intended the outcome, but they certainly intended the actions they took which could not but bring us here. For seventy years we've had nothing but presidents and congresses unable to do anything but buy their re-election by spending future generations' money, by making promises that could never be kept, and by creating Ponzi entitlements that never had any possibility other than destroying our financial foundations. Every president from FDR to BHO has done this, Reagan included. We have gotten exactly what we have asked for, exactly what we deserve, and now the piper (mostly China) is going to come...

...it would still be an inescapable fact that if Israel stopped all fighting and aggressive posturing and laid down her amrs tomorrow, they'd be obliterated within weeks, not months. If the Arab countries surrounding Israel stopped all fighting and aggressive posturing and laid down their arms tomorrow, there would be instant peace in the middle east.

I'm not going to call you anti-semitic (you're not), nor label this article as hate speech (it's not) but this rings of delusional quackery. It's one thing to say we should pull out of the middle east and pursue more America-first policies; it's another thing entirely to say that we should allow Russia to ship rockets to Mexico, Canada, Cuba, and the Bahamas, even if those countries were regularly shooting them into the US and killing untold numbers of civilians. Yet this is what you ask of Israel. You'll understand of course if she responds, "bugger off."
