Why Don't Liberals See Gun Ownership as "Choice"?

You know why the Libtards love to go after guns and not abortions ? It is very easy, you see they hate the Constitution so having the RIGHT to a gun does not sit well them with. But if in the Constitution it stated women have the RIGHT to abortions libtards would be going after that like a fat kid after a ice cream cake with a twinkie on top.

You don't think most Americans think guns need to be kept out of the hands of the mentally ill and criminals? Really, politics aside, you don't think we need to do SOMETHING to hinder those sales? And how did the Constitution get into this conversation?? No one is proposing any legislation to confiscate guns. Keep your guns, great. No one cares. But I do care when the criminally insane show up at my kid's school. I would like to stop THEM from obtaining a gun. Ideas? Because apparently background checks are too 'extreme.'

Background checks would not have stopped Newtown, Aurora, Va. Tech, or Tucson. The problem lies in restricting the law abiding from carrying self protection in certain areas. This skewed philosophy assumes that criminals (law breakers) will abide by the law. All it does is create "Victim Filled" Zones, "Target Rich Environments", and "Hey, Come Over Here And Kill Us, We're Defenseless" Zones.

And here I always though it was their lack of concern for the innocent. Thanks Mike.

The fury of the left is unbridled in the wake of the gun control bill's failure.  But here's the problem for those who want to push big changes on gun laws: Only 4% of Americans deem guns and gun control a top priority, according to Gallup.  What's more, unlike the abortion issue -- where the passion on both pro-life and pro-choice/abortion sides is relatively evenly matched -- in the gun context, those who believe in Second Amendment freedoms have far more intensity than those on the gun control side.

A puzzling contradiction again manifested itself in the President's angry...
