Just a few points to consider when you talk about "country is better off .... access to disabled people." 1)When Mother Teresa's nuns opened a center in NYC, they were told that they had to install an elevator just in case a disabled person wanted to visit where the nuns slept. They decided not to open a center in NYC due to the costs. 2) When a business installs disabled access like sidewalk cut-outs, that is not enough. If a year later they come back and some bureaucrat had decided the cut-out should be 12" wider, they have to tear out the 1 yr old sidewalk and replace it. 3) Here in DC, it costs Metro about 60 dollars to pick up and transport a disabled person. "1) The EPA is useless and we should get rid of it."
Flush this down your 1.3 gal toilet- What good has the EPA done in its history? Ban on DDT- millions killed in Africa due to simple science. I think it has caused more harm than good, therefore get rid of it.

"2) The oil reserves in Alaska will save our country from dependence on oil imports."
No, but it would have given us some breathing space and being less tied to the Middle East.

"3) The housing bubble was caused entirely by the CRA."
Fannie and Freddie cooked their books and changed their policy about sub-prime loans. The small banks that followed the old rule of keeping the loans...

Try taking off your Baptist rose colored glasses and use some of the common sense that God gave you. (Also if you take the time to research it your shepherds have the same problem as these catholic shepherds.) While I tend not to agree with the author on a lot of things, here are the facts.
