Once again, Democrats are playing games with the safety of our sons and daughters fighting in Iraq.   At a time when the “surge” is showing real progress on the ground, Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi are threatening to stop supporting our troops in Iraq in order to force President Bush to retreat from Iraq.  Without the funding for body armor, ammo, our troops will be sitting ducks for Al-Qaeda.  Join Townhall.com in telling Sen. Our troops are fighting in Iraq to preserve the freedoms you seem to take for granted and all you can think to do it play politics with the funding that puts bulletproof vests on their backs, armor-plates on their humvees, and ammo in their rifles.   They deserve your support and not your talk of defeat.   The war is not lost as you’ve said, the “surge” is working and their mission is important.   They are taking the battle to the enemy before the enemy arrives on U.S. soil.   Your political gamesmanship undermines our troops morale and embolden our enemies by sending the message that the United States lacks the fortitude needed to win the global war on terror.
