Future of Bitcoin

(image) Since 2009 Bitcoin, the electronic currency, has grown exponentially in value. As people flock to the anonymous currency, criticism of its future relevance and role also grows. Speaking about Bitcoin this month, billionaire investor Warren Buffet said, "the idea that it has some huge intrinsic value is just a joke." Also, in a Forbes "fireside chat" with Bitcoin investors Marc Andreessen and Balaji Srinivasan, Andreessen predicted "libertarians will turn on Bitcoin", hinting at the fact that Bitcoin could have huge potential for government agencies like the NSA. It is uncertain whether Bitcoin will be the free-market miracle most hope it to be, or a possible totalitarian nightmare.
