Thanksgiving, which occurs on the fourth Thursday every November, is a time for all to put aside their differences and come together with their loved ones to give thanks for all of life's blessings. The national holiday, which is commonly traced back to a Pilgrim celebration of a plentiful harvest in 1621, falls on the 28th and has a rare overlap with the Jewish holiday of Chanukah in 2013.
