In this Feb. 13, 2013, photo, Gigi Sohn, poses for a photograph with her certificate that says she is a member of the Supreme Court bar, in Washington. Only a few lawyers will ever get to argue before the U.S. Supreme Court. Every year, however, thousands of lawyers join the Supreme Court bar, the group of lawyers allowed to practice before the nation’s highest court. Sohn said she joined the Supreme Court bar in 1993 because it seemed like fun. The membership fee has turned out to be the "best $200 I’ve ever spent," she said, "because I’ve gotten access to top cases." (AP Photo/Alex Brandon)
