In this Feb, 5, 2013 photo, Arli Mujica, from Venezuela, supports herself on crutches as she wears a piece of her costume before the start of the Bionic Fashion show, backstage at the Metropolitan Cultural Center in Quito, Ecuador. Mujica, a former runner whose whose left leg was amputated due to cancer and uses a prosthetic leg, joined 15 other models from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Colombia and Ecuador to model creations by Ecuadorian designers at an event organized by the Youth Against Cancer Foundation which aimed to break stereotypes and social barriers for the young cancer survivors.
