Attorney Curtis Woods, left, clutches his client, Encarnacion Bail Romero, minutes after a Greene County judge in Springfield, Mo., terminated her parental rights to the son she last held five years ago when he was seven months old. Romero lost custody of her 6-month-old son, Carlos, after she was arrested during an ICE raid on a chicken plant in Missouri. While she was imprisoned, her baby was first cared for by relatives and later adopted, against her wishes, by a Missouri couple after a judge said the child was better off with them.
