Pinal County, Arizona, Sheriff's photograph shows a burnt SUV which had bodies of five people burned beyond recognition in Vekol Valley is about 35 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona in this June 2, 2012 photograph. The location where the smoldering SUV was found is in a desert between Phoenix and the Mexican border that is a popular route for smuggling migrants and drugs, a local sheriff said. Mexico has been roiled by drug violence in recent years. More than 50,000 people have been killed in drug-related violence there since Mexican President Felipe Calderon took office in December 2006 and launched a crackdown on traffickers.
