Carolina Terzis, the smallest surviving baby born in Brazil according to the Hospital Vila da Serra, is seen in Nova Lima in the central state of Minas Gerais in this November 2011 photo. Terzis was born on November 16, 2011 weighing only 360 grams and measuring 27 cm. The premature birth happened in the fifth month of pregnancy when the child's mother, Alexandra Terzis, 32, had a seizure and symptoms of eclampsia.
