LAPD Senior Lead Officer James Chong speaks to Tynesia Omopariola, whose suspended driver's license was resulting in impoundment of her car, in Koreatown, Los Angeles, California, April 25, 2012. Chong is one of the senior lead officers assigned to the Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Station covering Koreatown. Since the LAPD Olympic Station opened in January 2009 covering 6.2 square miles of Koreatown, the area has seen a significant drop in crimes. This April 29 will mark the 20th anniversary of the riots following the acquittal of four Los Angeles Police officers in the videotaped beating of motorist Rodney King, which resulted in 53 deaths and an estimated $1 billion in damage.
