U.S. soldiers salute a casket containing human remains believed to belong to a U.S. servicemen missing in action during the Vietnam War, during a repatriation ceremony at an airport in Danang city April 9, 2012. To date, 968 Americans from the Vietnam War have been identified since 1973, 684 from Vietnam, 249 from Laos, 32 from Cambodia, and 3 from China. There are 1,678 Americans still unaccounted for from the war, including 1,287 in Vietnam, Patrick Keane, Joint Prisoners of War, Missing In Action Accounting (JPAC) commander in Vietnam, told Reuters TV.
