Mexican chemical engineer and inventor Sergio Rico speaks during a Reuters interview at his office in Mexico City January 13, 2012. Farmers in drought-stricken Mexico are hailing a new, locally-developed water technology that's keeping their crops alive during conditions that would normally kill them. The system "Solid Rain", conceived and developed by Rico, employs similar technology to that used in modern diapers. The initial success of Rico's invention has earned him a nomination for Stockholm's prestigious Water Prize for 2012. Picture taken January 13, 2012.
