An aerial view of the river Mirna valley, in the middle of Croatia's Istrian peninsula, surrounded by forests where white truffles are found, October 29, 2006. A truffle, often no bigger than a nut, usually grows in the roots of oak and willow trees. There have been attempts to mass-produce it but the best ones are still found in the wild. The ugly tubers can fetch more than 3,000 euros per kilo. Picture taken October 29, 2006. To match feature FOOD CROATIA TRUFFLES REUTERS/Nikola Solic (CROATIA)
