Kyrgyz death row inmate Soyuzbek Kaldarov, 27, sits in his cell in a prison in Bishkek January 25, 2006. Kaldarov, who was sentenced to death in 1999, is one of many death row inmates whose execution has been pending since a moratorium on the death penalty was invoked in Kyrgyzstan in 1998 while the decision on capital punishment is being postponed year after year.
