Digital Ad Operations Manager
Townhall Media is looking for an experienced ad operation manager to direct the operational side of a successful multi-media sales team.

The Digital Ad Operations Manager is responsible for:
• Supervising a team of skilled ad traffickers and lead specialists
• Managing our relationships with networks and yield optimizers like Google AdExchange and Rubicon
• Managing the effective use of email and display inventory to maximize revenue
• Overseeing salesforce reporting and data mining
• Providing essential advice to the General Manager on new technologies and opportunities in the digital space.
We currently use DoubleClick's Dart For Publishers and Datran Stormpost for email. Compensation is base salary plus incentive based bonuses.

Assistant Editor
Townhall.com and Townhall Magazine are hiring for an editorial position that will be a hybrid of online and magazine work for one of the conservative media's most prominent organizations.
Applicants should be highly motivated workers who are passionate about politics and are always on the hunt for stories that deserve more media coverage. This is an opportunity to work in the 24-hour news cycle and help shape Townhall's 2012 election news coverage. The ideal applicant will be well-versed in how political journalism flows in the online world.
Job responsibilities will consist of curating multimedia content for use throughout Townhall.com's web properties; writing for Townhall.com's Tipsheet blog, monitoring editorial direction of day-to-day verticals on the website; and brand management of Freedomcards, Townhall's conservative greeting card site. The person filling this position will also help solicit content and overseeing designated sections of Townhall Magazine, published monthly, as well as contributing articles and helping proofread copy.
Position requires strong copy editing skills (AP style knowledge a plus); solid writing skills; and the ability to generate creative ideas and give sound input on editorial designs and vision of each issue. Journalism experience at any level is a major plus.

Advertising Traffic Coordinator
Townhall Media is looking for an experienced advertising traffic coordinator to manage day-to-day ad trafficking.

The advertising traffic coordinator is responsible for:
• Managing the trafficking of display advertising on our web properties using DART for Publishers.
• Coordinating email list rental traffic using Datran Stormpost server.
• Providing essential advice to the General Manager on new technologies and opportunities in the digital traffic space.
Digital ad traffic experience with DART required. Experience with Stormpost, HTML and some graphics ability preferred.

Duties include:
• Assisting with and distributing marketing circulation promotions
• Compiling advertising/trafficking reports and distributing reports
• Setting up and maintaining Google Adwords, Facebook, Twitter, and Bing advertising campaigns
• E-mail marketing – assisting with writing/creating and distributing e-mail.
• Assisting with marketing videos – planning, writing, editing, and promoting.
About you:
You’re creative, pro-active, and you have an interest in conservative politics. You’re eager to work on marketing projects and you’re also interested in video production as a marketing tool.
Desired Qualifications:

Editorial Internship Announcement: Townhall Magazine/Townhall.com/HotAir.com, the leading online source for conservative news, opinion and current events, is looking for an energetic, motivated self-starter to join the Editorial Team as Editorial Intern.
Past interns of Townhall.com have been hired at the White House, Newt Gingrich Communications, the Republican National Committee, The Heritage Foundation, the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, and most recently, at Regnery Publishing. We have many past interns that have gone on to work for various Congressmen.
Editorial Intern Responsibilities:
• Copy editing and publishing commentary and podcast content to the Townhall web site
• Monitoring reader blog community and responding to reader feedback
• Assisting in research and fact-checking for news stories
• Writing and publishing to a personal Townhall.com blog
• Assigned copy writing on Townhall.com and potential ghost writing of articles and commentaries
• Assist in planning and production of video content
• Assisting with other projects necessary to the production of Townhall.com
