West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin [I-WV] has left the Democrat Party and registered as an Independent. Manchin pulled the plug on his affiliation with Democrats citing partisanship on both sides of the aisle posing what he sees as a threat to Democracy. Posting on X he writes: -quote-“To stay true to myself and remain committed to put country before party, I have decided to register as an independent with no party affiliation and continue to fight for America’s sensible majority,” Manchin is not running for re-election to the senate and signaled this week he won’t seek to reclaim his old job as governor in west Virginia.

Former President Trump’s felony conviction is poised to become an election rallying cry for both Republicans and Democrats. Donald Trump and Joe Biden don’t agree on much, but they both are emphasizing the importance of this year’s presidential election in light of Thursday’s historic conviction. President Biden said “the only way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office” is at the ballot box. And Trump himself said…”the real verdict” will come on November 5th — Election Day.

Hate crimes charges are dropped against a Christian in Iowa.
VERBATIM: Last Christmas an image of Satan was set up at the State Capitol by the Satanic Temple, prompting Michael Cassidy to enter the building and knock it down. He was arrested and prosecutors decided to charge him with a hate crime against Satanism, to the surprise of many. The hate crimes charge, which carries heavier penalties, has now been dropped in return for Cassidy’s decision to plead guilty to a third-degree criminal mischief.
