The remnants of Hurricane Dolly were expected to continue flooding southern Texas on Friday and possibly spawn tornadoes, while storms were forecast in the Plains, the Midwest, the Southwest, the Southeast and New England.

The Ohio Valley could see thunderstorms, while the mid-Atlantic was likely to be mostly clear. Temperatures in the 70s and 80s were forecast across the Northeast, with 90s possible in parts of the mid-Atlantic.

Afternoon showers were predicted to pop up across the Southeast, where temperatures in the 80s, 90s and 100s were forecast.

The Northwest was expected to remain mostly clear, though Montana, Idaho and Wyoming could see scattered showers. Temperatures in the 70s were forecast for the Pacific Northwest, with 80s and 90s likely farther inland.

Showers and thunderstorms were forecast for the Four Corners, though the rest of the Southwest was likely be mostly clear. Temperatures across the region were expected to range from the 80s to 110 degrees.
