KAILUA, Hawaii (AP) — How President Barack Obama spent day nine of his holiday vacation in Hawaii on Sunday:
— HEALTH CARE NUMBERS: Obama's administration said signups for health insurance through the federal government's rehabilitated website passed 1 million thanks to a December surge. Combined with numbers for state-run markets due in January, that should put total enrollment in the new private insurance plans under Obama's health law at about 2 million people through the end of the year, independent experts said.
— GYM: Obama went for his usual morning workout at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, spending nearly one-and-a-half hours at the gym. As he returned to his vacation home, a demonstrator held a sign near a blocked off street that read: "Thank you for ACA," referring to the Affordable Care Act, the formal name of Obama's health care overhaul.
— GOLF: Obama returned to the base a few hours later for a round of golf, playing in a group of six total.
