British PM is latest European leader to visit Trump

Thu, Feb 27, 2025 at 10:10 am
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrives at the White House for talks with President Trump. Starmer is the second European leader to come here this week and meet with the president about his push to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. The British prime minister, along with the French president and others, are concerned that the U-S might concede too much to Russia. Starmer also announced plans this week for the U.K. to bolster defense spending — something that should please Donald Trump.

Soros-Funded. Anti-Doge Protests Not Organic As Portrayed By Media

Thu, Feb 27, 2025 at 1:18 pm
Media reports say many of the anti-DOGE demonstrations greeting GOP lawmakers last week were organized by left-wing organizations. A steady stream of anti-DOGE demonstrations seemed to crop up organically at townhall events as House lawmakers held town hall events in their home states during a weeklong recess. Now reports in the Daily Wire and free Beacon indicate the protests were anything but spontaneous, but rather organized by George Soros-funded groups MoveOn and Indivisible. Despite the orchestration, th evnts were portrayed as grass-roots efforts mainstream outlets such as CBS, the Washington Post, and the New York Times.

Speaker Johnson Pushes for Budget Vote

Mon, Feb 24, 2025 at 9:52 pm

The Senate’s Plan B is in place. Now it’s up to Speaker Mike Johnson to deliver on Plan A – the “one big, beautiful bill” he’s been promising for weeks. Correspondent Bernie Bennett reports.

VERBATIM:
Speaking at an event held by Americans for Prosperity, Johnson stressed the importance of moving the “one, big beautiful bill” the House is pursuing so that a swath of 2017 tax cuts don’t expire without an extension.

The Rules Committee meets Monday to ready the House GOP budget plan for the floor as a group of holdouts concerned about deep cuts to Medicaid and other safety-net programs raise increasingly sharp concerns.

It amounts to a key inflection point for President Donald Trump’s domestic policy agenda, and GOP senators – who muscled through their own two-bill legislative blueprint early Friday morning – are eagerly watching to see if Johnson can finally unify his conference and move forward with his own plan.

Senate Budget Chair Lindsey Graham says If Johnson can pull it together, “I will be his biggest fan.”
