MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) — Four Hofstra University basketball players face burglary charges stemming from six dormitory room thefts.Nassau County police said the team's coach also reported that he had items stolen, and said an investigation was under way to determine if the players were responsible. But Hofstra issued a statement late Friday afternoon saying coach Mo Cassara reported his items were stolen last May. That was before any of the accused players were attending the school. The players are 20-year-old Shaquille Stokes of Manhattan and 18-year-olds Kentrell Washington of Las Vegas; Jimmy Hall of Brooklyn; and Dallas Anglin of Montclair, N.J. Each has pleaded not guilty.Police say cash, computers, cellphones and other items were taken. Some of the items were then sold on Craigslist. The university says the four have been suspended from the team, classes, residence halls and facilities.
