Aspen flights diverted over FAA equipment failure

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Investigators are trying to determine why several flights had to be diverted because of equipment failure at Aspen's airport.Several American Eagle flights were diverted to other airports on Saturday and Sunday after equipment that guides planes making an instrument landing failed.Aviation director Jim Elwood tells the Aspen Times ( ) he still wants to make sure the problem has been corrected.The FAA says it had problems after moving the equipment and expects it to be fixed by Friday.___Information from: The Aspen Times,
