Social Security to resume statements for some

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Social Security Administration says it will resume sending some annual benefits statements that is had halted as a way to cut costs.Last year, Social Security officials halted the mailings to 150 million Americans.Officials now say they'll resume them to workers 60 and older next month. And by year's end, they'll begin sending a one-time notice to 25-year-old workers alerting them of the entitlement program and their potential benefits.People outside those two age groups will be directed to a website to find such information. The Social Security Administration says those unable to access the Internet will be able to request a paper statement.
