President Barack Obama is discussing the European debt crisis with the prime minister of the Netherlands as eurozone finance ministers in Brussels work urgently to avoid a financial meltdown.
Obama, with Dutch Premier Mark Rutte at his side, said both leaders are concerned about the "situation in the Eurozone." He said he was eager to hear Rutte's proposals for how the crisis could be resolved.
The Netherlands is one of 17 eurozone countries. Tuesday's meeting comes amid fears that the euro could be days away from collapsing.
Rutte said his government is committed to keep the eurozone and the euro intact.
Jobs were also on the agenda. The Netherlands is the ninth largest importer of U.S. products. Rutte said Dutch investment in the U.S. is responsible for 625,000 American jobs.
While politicizing tragedy, Obama forgets the facts.
