Hefty bonds for soldiers in Okla. home invasion

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) — Bonds of at least $1 million have been set for three soldiers charged in an Oklahoma home invasion during which several people were shot.Court records released Wednesday show that Pfc. Kevon McLaren is being held on $2 million bond, while Pvt. Richard Daly and Pfc. Claude Byrd II are being held on $1 million bond. All three are facing kidnapping and robbery charges.Prosecutors allege they broke into an apartment last week and robbed six people at gunpoint. Four people were shot and wounded. A probable cause statement says witnesses told investigators that McLaren was the gunman.The fourth suspect, Pfc. Jared Berman, is accused of being an accessory by driving the get-away car. He's being held on $45,000 bond.The four soldiers are based at Fort Sill.
