A New Hampshire school bus driver is facing drunken driving charges after police say she struck a mailbox with her bus while transporting middle school students.
No one was hurt.
Police in Windham say they received several calls about a bus driving erratically on Monday morning. They eventually found the bus in the parking lot at Windham Middle School.
Police say the driver, 50-year-old Kimberly Hooley, failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence. She was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 14. She refused to comment when contacted by The Eagle-Tribune.
Hooley denied drinking but told police she had taken prescription medication.
She has been placed on leave by the bus company pending an investigation into the incident.
