NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A priest found slain in the kitchen of his New Jersey church's rectory asked a 911 operator for "help" before the call abruptly ended.The state police operator called the Rev. Edward Hinds' cell phone back twice on the evening of Oct. 22. The first time she got the priest's voice mail.Prosecutors say the second time, the janitor accused of killing the priest answered. Jose Feliciano is heard on the 911 tape telling the operator that there's no emergency while a voice in the background says there is.Police were not sent to St. Patrick Church in Chatham.State Police Lt. Gerald Lewis says a preliminary investigation concluded the operator followed procedure.Police released recordings of the tapes on Wednesday.
