Even with the tumult over tariff news last week, at least one poll indicates popularity for President Trump.
The results come from the Daily Mail, surveying over 1-thousand registered voters surveyed between March 31 & April 3, including the day after President Trump’s “Liberation Day” announcement. The poll finds President Trump’s approval at 53% …up four points from the week prior. This figure includes a remarkable a 13 point jump in the age group 18-29, a 17 point increase among black voters… and … yes..even… a 6 percent increase in favorability among Democrats & Independents. As for the tariffs themselves, most are still are unsure, but along three different lines, there is an overall one-to-2 percent edge of approval over disapproval for President Trump’s moves.

Houston Loses NCAA Tournament
Houston loses the NCAA Title Championship to the Florida Gators. Details from Correspondent Bernie Bennett.
VERBATIM:
The end of national championship game was gritty and ugly, just the way Houston usually likes it. Except this time Florida was forcing bad shots and turnovers against Houston when it counted.
The Cougars had four turnovers in the final 1:21 of their 65-63 loss. The last one ended the game when trying to get off a 3-pointer. Emanuel Sharp could only let the ball fall to the floor after he went up in the air and couldn’t get off the shot with Walter Clayton Jr. running toward him and leaping with his left arm extended.
Florida scrambled for the loose ball as time ran out. Houston fell just short of its first national championship.
Bernie Bennett reporting.

Georgia has a new religious freedom law
Georgia has a new religious freedom law
VERBATIM: Modeled after the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the legislation bars state and local governments from impeding on someone’s religious rights in most cases and stops the enforcement of laws that conflict with an individual’s religious expression. Greg Chaufen of Alliance Defending Freedom says “This law provides a sensible balancing test for courts to use when reviewing government policies that infringe upon the religious freedom rights of Georgians.” MH SRN NEWS
