Mike Singletary scored 27 points as No. 20 Texas Tech rallied to beat McNeese State 76-75 Friday.
Singletary gave Texas Tech (11-2) its first lead of the game, 64-62, with 8:47 remaining in the game. For about five minutes neither team could pull ahead by more than one point. Then Patrick Richard hit a 3-pointer as the shot clock expired with 3:22 remaining to put the Cowboys up 73-71.
Nick Okorie got a layup and a free throw on Texas Tech's next possession to go up 74-73.
P.J. Alawoya tied it at 75 on a drive to the basket and a free throw with 34.6 seconds remaining.
Singletary was fouled as he attempted a layup and made both free throws with 18.4 seconds left to put Tech up for good. The Red Raiders overcame a nine-point deficit.
Diego Kapelan scored 20 points to lead the Cowboys (5-8).
