White Sox sends Ely, Link to Dodgers

The White Sox have sent right-handed pitchers John Ely and Jon Link to the Los Angeles Dodgers, completing this week's acquisition of outfielder by Chicago.
The 23-year-old Ely was 14-2 with a 2.82 ERA in 27 starts with Double-A Birmingham last season. He led the Southern League in strikeouts (125) and was tied for the lead in victories. Ely was drafted by the White Sox in 2007. He is 30-15 with a 3.75 ERA in 67 games over three minor-league seasons.
