Lindsey Vonn of the United States led the second training session for a World Cup downhill event on Thursday in the French Alps.

Vonn, who dominated Wednesday's first training on the Oreiller-Killy course, finished in 1 minute, 44.67 seconds, 0.22 seconds ahead of Elisabeth Goergl of Austria.

Goergl prevented Vonn from winning three straight races this month in Lake Louise, Canada, when she narrowly beat her rival in a super-G. Vonn won two consecutive downhills in the Canadian Rockies.

Anna Fenninger of Austria was third in the second training run.
